movie review!!! last time I did on Harry Potter's GoF. well here's the thing, I'm not really a movie buff. I don't go and watch every single movie that's come out. I don't even know how to buy movie tickets! I might juz call someone and say "weh korg! wa sesat dlm panggung nih" - how la? =P I usually wait 2-3 years when the movie finally played on tv. That's what happen wif LOTR, I waited for hbo to play 'em. Same goes wif every other movies that I'd watch :D

ok rite now I'm gonna do da vinci code. yup - THE da vinci code. the ONE that everybody's been waiting for. the one that I'VE been waiting for *I should've stick wif me own way and wait for it to be shown on hbo* -_-'

oh bear in mind, I'd read the book 1st. so...

last nite went to watch da vinci code wif kakngah. 9.30p.m sampai umah dia, scored 2 TGV 1utama midnite tix =) movie only starts at 11.45p.m so we went out to eat 1st. ade mcD 24hrs kt KBU tuh. full wif students - studying! *aisyoo* kami nk mkn xde tmpt. study tmpt lain la beb. kalo dh pi mcd tuh, ngadap mcd jek la.

10.40p.m gerak pi 1utama. lama la berdiri nunggu turn masuk. 11.45p.m - start la iklan dia. dari 1... 1... tunggu punya tunggu. 12.05a.m baru wyg start *atuk dia! kami dh keras nengok iklan*

yadaa, yadaa, yadaa. standard la ade part yg lain dr novel kan. skali kn, ade akak duk sbelah kakngah nih bleh menjerit. dia ingat tgk puntianak harum sundal mlm ke ape nk jerit² *xbleh msk wyg* puntianak harum sundal mlm pon xde part yg patut dijerit kan. then wa bajet gak la, most audience yg dtg mlm tuh have read the book. "haa teabing nih yg buat hal nih" - aloo miss! jgn la kasi spoil movie! dh bace tuh diam jek la. tgk movie buat la cam xpenah bace buku. kuar wyg kang baru la nk compare ke ape ke *now u know y I hate going to the movies*

2.20a.m - le fin *thank god*. dlm keadaan blur², wa anta kakngah blk umah dia. kakngah: "blk leklok, jgn bwk prono td". akakak tell u about that later =P wa blk, mkn angin. pukul 3pg kn. lengang jek.

now about the movie. 1st thing that popped to my mind - duh! that's it?! what the ?! half of the script is in french. lucky us for the malay subtitle. the chasing scene is so - french! *no offence* looks ridiculous to me anyway. the story itself is not well delivered. still, at last we know the Holy Grail is found.

the casts - Paul Bettany did well, I think. he potrayed Silas perfectly that I really felt pity for him. however, they made silas looks like darth vader it made me wonder whether I was watching the rite movie or not =P Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon - ermmm I just don't FEEL 'Robert Langdon' in him. it is sort of a let down, you know - it's TOM HANKS!! *lucky for Dan Brown, his book sells well* screw other characters =P

the worst: the story wasn't meant to be a movie, at least for now. somebody has to come up with a new approach of delivering the story. make it as 'highly acclaimed' as it can be - or less clueless o_O

the best: haha :D I wrote something about prono up there^^. biasakn kalo tgk wyg, scene² yg xpatut ni di-censored kn. there, suddenly silas *Paul Bettany <3* us ="))">

my recommendation: for those who haven't read the book, go watch the movie. just for fun. try not to get confuse tho' =P for those who have read the book, get a pirated cd *tehee* for those who have watched the movie, haven't read the book - buy one. if you must, steal one! I'd so much fun reading the book that I regret ever going to the cinema.

now now, I'm done dissing 'bout it. so kakngah, X-men 3 nxt week? wa plak blanje ;-)

p/s: prono is not "siku" or misspelled word. it's actually 'porno' but we (as in me, kakngah n kaklong) made it as our own word. where did it come from? it might sound a bit offensive to some people =P so for now we'll keep the real meaning to our-own-silly-selves...
